The celebrated New Delhi-based design and interiors store INHABIT has now opened its new outlet in Hyderabad. The store opens its doors to allure us with their sophisticated mix of old and new: one-of-its-kind sculptures, accessories and furniture.
Explaining her design philosophy owner-cum-designer Neeta Kumar explains, “The sizzling silhouettes, vibrant shades and tantalizing textures transcend the interiors of this store. Also lending a sophisticated edge are the lovingly crafted furniture that is rooted in classic values with a contemporary aesthetics.”
Spread over an area of 6,000 sq.ft.,this unique store designed by Neeta Kumar is indeed a delight for the connoisseur. Her passion for bringing out the individuality of a space through eclectic and intelligent design comes forth like a symbiosis of styles. According to Neeta, “Inhabit is a living expression of inclusiveness and the magic of bringing the global to the local. We help you select the best of existing art and furniture collections, and find the balance between what’s fashionable and what will endure.”
The store offers fascinating artefacts and furniture, designed by Neeta. She adds proudly, “Reclaimed teakwood is our primary and preferred wood. This versatile and environment-friendly option ensures durability and luxurious feel with its unique grain and the aura of a rich heritage.”
As you enter the store, you can’t miss the prêt creations in bold hues with traditional inspirations and western silhouettes that defines Neeta Kumar’s design. But even that does not prepare you for the kaleidoscope of visual delights that await you inside. The glass window of the store with arched etching recreate the old-world charm.
Adding colour and character to the space opposite the entrance is an English-style print Shabby collection with a pretty chair made of reclaimed wood with distress finish, painted water cans and a trunk creatively covered with canvas giving the piece an antique finish.
