Many aspects define luxury, one of it being architecture and interiors. It is definitely on the radar of connoisseurs who like to keep it classy and in tune with the trends. They say ‘There is no place like home’ and quite literally! Smorgasbord of statement-making furniture, casual-chic vibe or perfect play of colours, what actually accentuates a home into a chic personal style infused abode? Well, actually all of it in the right mix and impeccable taste. Speaking of which Nitin Kohli, designer and founder of Nitin Kohli Home says, “2020 seems like a year that will invite minimalist and maximalism. While minimalism preaches “less is more” in form and function, maximalism will add the play of love of patterns, colors, textures and all over the top things. The decor trend will give the opportunity to spaces that can be designed with a highly curated mix of statement pieces styled very minimally - and its exactly the kind of design approach to look forward to in the upcoming year’s trend. The future is also all about sustainable interiors.” A home is a place for all seasons and to strike the right vibe interior designer Sanjyt Singh is of the view that in terms of design trends for 2020 we will be moving on from maximalism, a lot of concentration is on Brutalism. There is a lot of play with scale and Brutalism. Its being termed as Neo-Deco and in terms of colour trends he says, “Besides Pantone Colour of the Year 2020, we will be seeing a lot of copper tones. There is a big shift towards amped-up neutrals. Also, as we are seeing the return of Art Deco, a lot of colours from the era are coming back.”
