Home And Away's James & Sarah - Wedding Joy!

It was the best day of our lives,” James (Jimmy) Stewart and Sarah Roberts say, unable to hide their joy.

On July 23 the Home and Away actor tied the knot with his co-star and real-life love, Sarah Roberts, at Luttrells-town Castle in Ireland. In a beautiful intimate ceremony, surrounded by 25 of their closest family and friends including James’ daughter Scout, the couple said “I do”.

They chose Ireland as their special spot as Sarah’s brother and family live in Dublin. But pulling off this epic European fairytale wedding in two months was no easy feat.

“It was hard to put together because of the time difference from Australia to Ireland,” Sarah explains. “We would go to work [on Home and Away] all day, and then come home and wait for the Irish to wake up so we could call and email.” Jimmy, 43, shares: “I don’t know how she did it!”

In what can only be described as a perfect day, Sarah, 34, knew things were off to a great start when she kept seeing signs. “We had a lot of good omens,” she explains. “Jimmy’s favourite number is 22 and I kept seeing it everywhere! There were lots of other things that happened that made me feel so content.”

Flying in a few days before the big day, Sarah and Jimmy were overwhelmed with emotion for their nearest and dearest. “They’d flown so far. I’ve done that flight a lot and it’s not easy. And they spent so much money so the people that were there were really special to us. It was perfect in that sense.”

The pair worked hard to make the ceremony as personal as possible. “We did actually write our own vows,” Sarah shares.
