With world-famous anthems and the tragic demise of lead singer Michael Hutchence, INXS is arguably Australia's most groundbreaking- and fascinating-musical export.
So it's little wonder fans across the globe are trying to keep the legend alive via a swathe of international cover bands.
The United States boasts several such groups, but the latest addition to the touring circuit in Southern California has raised the fury of INXS bassist Garry Gary Beers.
Garry, who lives in Los Angeles and has formed rock band AshenMoon, last week released a strongly worded statement accusing a band member of damaging the INXS legacy.
