Despite always insisting they were no more than close friends, it seems Russell Crowe has moved on from his romance with Terri Irwin and is now enjoying the company of his much younger co-star Sienna Miller.

An insider tells New Idea that the unlikely couple have forged a close friendship in the past few weeks while filming their roles as husband and wife on a new Showtime TV series.

“Russell and Sienna have grown really close since they started filming together,” says an insider. “They’re always laughing together and seem very flirty. When the cameras aren’t rolling, they’re always together – everyone on set is talking about it.”

Russell, 54, is currently filming The Loudest Voice in the Room, a limited series in which he plays the now deceased Fox news chief Roger Ailes, whose career ended after he was accused of sexual harassment. Both Russell and Sienna, who plays his wife Elizabeth, have been photographed on set wearing facial and body prosthetics that give them both dramatically different appearances from usual.
