Uma Thurman’s on again, off again affair with Arpad Busson was rocky even in the best of times. As a friend of the actress puts it, “It was one of those crazy, passionate, plate throwing romances.”

Now, two years after their (second) breakup, the five year relationship has gone from tempestuous to toxic: On Jan. 13, the 53 year old financier and the 46 year old movie star faced off in a Manhattan courtroom for a long brewing battle over their daughter, Altalune (Luna), 4. At issue: The London and Bahamas based Arpad wants to spend 10 days per month with Luna, plus vacations... without coming to New York, where the little girl has always lived.
