DMK chief alleges DGP was given extension only to facilitate cash movement; asks EC to check vehicles
-
DMK president M. K. Stalin on Thursday alleged that the ruling AIADMK was using police vehicles to transport cash to be distributed to voters in the general elections and urged the Election Commission of India to check the vehicles.
Addressing an election meeting in support of MDMK’s A. Ganeshamurthi, who is contesting on the DMK’s ‘Rising Sun’ symbol in the Erode Lok Sabha constituency, Mr. Stalin alleged that DGP T.K. Rajendran was given extension in service by the AIADMK government only to help in transporting money during the election.
He called upon the DMK cadre to join hands with the public and insist on checking vehicles if they suspect money was being transported.
