“Ten years ago, on the 29 June 2007, the original apple iPhone officially went on sale under the strapline: ‘This is only the beginning’. at the time, this highly anticipated device was set to revolutionise mobile phones, but little did anyone realise quite how true that slogan would become, or the profound effect that the iPhone (and subsequent smartphones) would have on society, and photography in particular. social commentary about how smartphones are both a joy and plague on modern life aside, the iPhone changed how we capture, edit, share and consume images and videos. It also changed the entire industry, both for better and for worse.
