The Liverpool Girls Are In Town

They’ve had LADIES DAY at the Grand National for many a year so despite protests from the President of America we’re having one in RAOTL.  Firstly we welcome back KADJ07 who, like Danny Ings has spent most of this season on the sidelines but following a fitness test she has been given the go ahead to have a run out just to see how things go. On the following page you will be introduced to ‘OUR LADY OF WATERLOO’. We’d like more ladies to join in and who knows where it will get us? So over to the lassies with their red scarves on [no half ‘n half’s though]

You may have noticed that you’ve not heard much from me this season. The last piece I wrote was back in September about my night at the theatre watching the Shankly Story; little did I know what was to follow.

I ended up in hospital with Sepsis as a result of treatment for Crohns Disease in mid-September and have been recovering since; in fact this piece is part of my recovery to see how I cope with concentrating and sitting in front of a screen.

Sepsis is blood poisoning and many have died from it including Muhammad Ali and Pope John Paul II; according to Google. Crohns Disease is quite common and most people know someone who has it. Darren Fletcher was the most famous high profile footballer to speak about bowel disease when he lost two years of his career suffering from Ulcerative Colitis. I’ve lost all this season so far with my illness and not sure when I’ll be fit enough to do the 500 mile round trip to Liverpool for my next game but I’m hopeful I might sneak one game in before the end of the season.

Transfer Me Back In Time@dmoenlfc

I took it upon myself at the end of last season to ignore anything to do with transfer activity this summer until I see the player in question with the usual scarf above head pose with hopefully a beaming Jürgen alongside.
