Add to that the many health benefits that laughter can bring – everything from lowering blood pressure and protecting heart muscles, to releasing serotonin, the brain’s feel-good chemical – and it’s clear anything that causes us to crack a smile should be an essential part of our day-to-day existence. So it’s well worth finding ways to ensure that we’re laughing more.
