The 14th Construction Week Awards was a smooth affair this year. Not for us the hustle-bustle of an awards ceremony that requires dashing across the hall seeking out invited guests and the VIPs. The well-planned event was held on September 27 at Hotel Sahara Star from 7pm onwards.

The process for awards began in June when we started inviting nominations from across the country. By August end, we had received more than 765 nominations. The Grand Jury meet was a scintillating affair held at Le Pondy Beach Resort at Puducherry on September 3rd and 4th. The Jury comprised Sandeep Sonthalia, CEO - Townships, The Wadhwa Group; Rajib Sarkar, VP, procurement, DLF; Manish Kumat, Principal Designer, Manish Kumat Design Cell; Hiren Patel, Founder, HPA; Ramprasad Akkisetti, MD, CCBA Designs; Guulshan Roy, Principal Architect, Guulshan Roy Architects INC; Dr Oscar Concessao and Dr Ponni Concessao, Founder & Partner, Oscar, Ponni & Rahul Architects; M Thirumaran, Chief Architect, ITOS & DC (B&F IC), L&T Construction; Rajesh Sharma, Director, GM Modular; Pratik Doshi, National Manager, Façade Business, Schueco.
