Fears wife's death is killing TV icon, 94

COMIC icon Bob Newhart has become like a tragic recluse since Ginnie, his wife of 60 years, kicked the bucket, leaving friends fearing he’s mired in a deep sadness that’s speeding his journey to the grave.

The 94-year-old star of sitcom classics The Bob Newhart Show and Newhart used to have a light in his eyes and spring in his step, but sources say the joy seems to have vanished with Ginnie’s death at 82 last year, and he even failed to post about his 94th birthday on Sept. 5.
