The company, founded by Akshay Oswal (CEO and Founder) and Aarushi Oswal (founder), is an innovative Indian beauty brand rooted in a wealthy family heritage of textiles, chemicals, and hosiery from the renowned Oswal Group in Ludhiana.

Akshay, a biotechnology and chemistry graduate from the US, combined his scientific expertise with his wife's extensive experience in the beauty industry. Aarushi is a makeup artist with 14 years of experience working with prestigious brands like Lancome, Sephora, and MAC Cosmetics. Together, they launched Oceglow, a regal performance skincare company that merges biotechnology with luxury, offering niche products enriched with marine ingredients. Manufactured in South Korea, Oceglow's formulations are meticulously crafted to suit Indian skin types, ensuring top-quality, clinically tested, and cruelty-free, and clean beauty solutions.

"During one of our trips to Korea, we were deeply inspired by the local beauty industry, observing the products and trends popular among consumers." This inspiration coincided with the rise of K-beauty in India around 2020, a trend that motivated them to start formulating their products in 2019. "We aimed to create a unique brand that combined Korean ingredients with formulations tailored specifically for Indian skin types." Akshay emphasized their commitment to using marine ingredients like algae and seaweed, encapsulated in their brand name 'Oceglow, with 'OCE' standing for ocean.

Reflecting on a pivotal moment in Oceglow's development, Akshay highlighted their self-funded journey. Akshay stated, "We created DIY content and videos in-house, leveraging Aarushi's expertise as a makeup artist. This approach showcased the founders using our products and built trust and transparency with our audience." Posting these videos on Instagram and YouTube helped establish a genuine connection with consumers.
