AN ALARMING number of seniors are dying from cervical cancer — even though current recommendations suggest most women stop screening for the killer disease at age 65!
CERVICAL CANCER ON RISE IN SENIORS!

Experts now say existing guidelines must be revised to catch the cancer earlier, when it’s more treatable, to improve survival rates!

A study by UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center shows nearly one in five new cervical malignancies diagnosed between 2009 and 2018 were gals over 65. A whopping 71 percent of  those patients were diagnosed with latestage disease, compared to 48 percent of younger women with the condition. And disturbingly, late-stage five-year survival rates for older patients were nearly 20 percent lower than more youthful gals.
