It was another star-studded event, as a host of celebrities walked the carpet at the TRIC Awards, which took place in the glittering ballroom of London's Grosvenor House hotel. Each year the Television and Radio Industries Club Awards celebrate the biggest names in the business - with trophies handed out to the most popular broadcasters and shows, as voted for by the public.
OK! are media partners of this year's event, which welcomed celebrities such as Celebrity MasterChef star Christine McGuinness, Good Morning Britain's Charlotte Hawkins, Traitors stars Andrew Jenkins and Jaz Singh and comedy legend Leigh Francis, aka Keith Lemon. And the stars were entertained in style, with a dazzling performance from singer Pixie Lott, who had the whole room up and dancing as she performed her high-octane hit All About Tonight.
The first award of the day went to Dame Maureen Lipman who looked fabulous in a multicoloured dress, which she paired with a pink hat, as she accepted the gong for best Soap Actor. She has starred as Evelyn Plummer in Coronation Street since 2018 and went up against her castmate David Neilson, who plays Roy Cropper, to scoop the award.
More of the nationâs favourite soap stars also took the green carpet by storm, among them former EastEnder Danielle Harold. She wore her long, platinum locks in a soft beachy wave as she stunned in a bodycon khaki dress that was ruched at the waist.
And Tina OâBrien, best known for her long-serving role as Sarah Platt in Corrie, looked gorgeous in a vibrant red two-piece blazer co-ord. She spoke to us about losing her on-screen mum Gail Platt, with actress Helen Worth stepping away from the iconic role after 50 years. Tina, 40, told OK!, âI think itâs time for her.
She wants to enjoy a certain time of her life and not worry about work. We will miss her dearly, though.â
