Now he’s completed his stint as James Bond, the dashing Daniel Craig is reprising another role – this time as master detective Benoit Blanc in the second instalment of the Knives Out franchise. Here, the Brit opens up on what to expect from Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

What made you want to come back as Benoit Blanc? First of all, it was the chance to work with [writer and director] Rian Johnson again. Secondly, it was really simply the fact I had so much fun doing the first one that when I heard there was a chance to do another one, I was immediately interested. It was a no-brainer as far as I was concerned.

What can you tell us about Glass Onion? I really don’t want to spoil anything because it’s so important to all of us that people get to see this in the way it should be seen, without knowing anything and hopefully on a big screen with an audience. I will say that we have an incredible cast and another amazing whodunnit story. It’s also very much a story that is independent of the first film. It’s not a sequel in any way. It’s its own separate thing, which is exactly how Rian wants each of these films to be for as long as we are lucky enough to keep making them.
