After a disclaimer jokingly warning viewers that his performance may cause “singing, dancing, sweating, gyrating, and possible relationship issues”, fans knew they were in for a real treat when Usher took to the stage for his halftime set at the Super Bowl.

While admitting it had been “a challenge to squeeze 30 years into 13 minutes”, the singer gave it a good crack as he launched straight into hit after hit during the energetic show.

Although many had speculated that Justin Bieber would join Usher on stage during his sexy set, the ‘Somebody to Love’ singer remained in his seat while the 45-year-old busted out tunes like ‘Yeah!’ and ‘Confessions’ with a host of other guest performers including Alicia Keys, Ludacris, H.E.R and Lil Jon.

And while Usher had millennial mums around the world all hot and bothered when he ripped off his shirt mid-performance, it was later revealed that the singer had officially been taken off the market – with Usher and his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Goicoechea, 40, tying the knot in Las Vegas that very same night.

“We can confirm that Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea took the next step in their relationship and did get married on Sunday night in Las Vegas surrounded by close friends and family,” a representative for the singer told People magazine of the intimate nuptials at Vegas Weddings’ Terrace Gazebo. “They both look forward to continuing to raise their children together surrounded by love and thank everyone for the well wishes.”
