Do you want the good news? You can have the latest headlines from a wide variety of sources delivered straight to your desktop. Do you want the bad news? You can have that as well! In fact, with the Apple News app, you can stay informed in any way you wish. It lets you choose your favourite news channels and topics, decide on the types of stories you like to see and even receive email newsletters and notifications.

With a click of the '...' next to a headline in your feed (or by selecting the Bookmark or Share icons when reading a story) you can save or share content. You can also catch up with your favourite sports teams, subscribe to individual channels and, by signing into the same Apple Account and activating the iCloud settings, get the latest news on all of your Apple devices. Click News and Clear History and you can declutter the app too. You'll stay abreast of the news like never before. - David Crookes

HOW TO Set up the channels and topics you like

1 Discover channels

Apple News can be personalised, making it more likely you’ll see stories of interest. Click Files and select Discover Channels. Now click ‘+’ next to the channels you want to follow or search by topic or channel name.
