So you've had the xand idea of inviting people over(again) Or you're stepping out of your comfort zone and doing it for the first tintés Where do you start? AS)someone@who has not only spent more than a decade obsessed with decor, conversation and food, but hosted many gatherings, including my parents’ vowel renewal, I can attest to the fact that a good tablescape goes a long way. I hope these tips will get you excited, organised and thinking of the bigger, more creative picture without getting too frazzled.

PICK YOUR THEME

Setting a theme for your breakfast, dinner or any meal requiring a tablescape is a great way to keep things organised, stay on course creatively and make sure your guests have some idea of what to expect if there is a fun dress code at play.

Questions to ask:

What time of the day is your event? What mood do you want to set? Is the cuisine relevant and accessible for the occasion?

Top Tip

Food for thought: Remember that even with a theme, your personal style will seep through. Let it! You are the host after all - don't fight what comes naturally to your setting.
