Ajay Kalra is a familiar name for the readers of Life Positive. Over years, he has he has the years, helped innumerable readers come to grips with their dysfunctional patterns and sore points in life through a deeply honest and vulnerable sharing of his emotional wounds and the techniques applied by him to heal and transcend them.
Life took him through various twists and turns, and he ended up in Dharamsala, in a private place, free to reflect, ponder, feel, breathe, and dispassionately observe the trajectory of his life as well as the landscape of his inner world. He wrote extensively, penning down his musings and sharing them with Life Positive readers. Before I knew it, he had come up with a beautiful website of his own and within no time, his first book Thrive was out. A life coach, therapist, counsellor, yoga teacher and mindfulness practitioner, Ajay has distilled the wisdom culled from his life journey in Thrive and offered it to the world with great humility. Life Positive could not let go of this opportunity to interview him. Below are excerpts from his book and the major highlights of his interview.
EXCERPT 1
My relationship with God became deeper when I lost faith in Him altogether. When I felt cheated and betrayed, I not only lost faith in God but in human relationships. I felt that if there really was a God then innocent people wouldn't suffer. And moreover, there would be one story about him. The Christians have their story; the Hindus, their story; and the Muslims, theirs. Which story is real? And if they are all stories and the reality of life is pain and suffering, why waste my time on such a God? Why follow any spiritual or religious values? I would rather do what my heart desires!
