Patanjali has outlined the Kleshas in the Sadhana Pada of the Yoga Sutras. Twenty-six Sutras deal with the Kleshas, their types, origins, ramifications and reactions. They are terse. A master Yogi is needed to decipher them. Their depths are sometimes unfathomable and their outcomes unknown. Efforts need to be Herculean to neutralize them. You have to be your own psychologist, says Shri Yogendraji.
Dr. Jayadeva tells us that knowing and understanding the Kleshas is more important than just the physical aspect of yoga.
