To convert a spare bedroom on the first floor to create a generous-sized en-suite bathroom leading off the main bedroom.

After a long day, Karen and Joe Clough longed for a space to unwind in.

They decided to play with their home's layout to create an en-suite bathroom leading off from their main bedroom. The previous owners of their five-bed property had altered the house in the 1990s and on the first floor there was a separate living space with its own kitchen and lounge. 'When we bought this property, we always planned to convert it back into a proper family home,' says Karen.
