INSPIRED BY THE WORLD OF BALLET, Kim Jonesâs latest collection for Dior Men Winter 2024-2025 shows us that boys can do âcoquetteâ, too. The collection is a modern ode to the grace of legendary ballerino Rudolf Nureyev, guided by the spirit of Jonesâs late uncle Colin Jones, whose photography of Nureyev captured a poignant friendship, and dancer Margot Fonteyn â a treasured client of Monsieur Christian Dior.
âThe collection, or rather collections, are about contrast: the contrasts in the House of Dior in terms of ready-to-wear and haute couture. Itâs the difference between onstage and backstage; the life of Nureyev theatrically and in reality. Here it is a meeting of the dancerâs style with that of the Dior archive,â explains the artistic director.
