Long before smash-hit series Yellowstone captivated viewers, there were the Western movies of the 1960s. But even these classics from Hollywood’s Golden Age couldn’t live up to the real-life drama swirling around their modern-day counterparts!

Gone are the days of high-noon showdowns between cowboys at the local corral, fingers twitching toward their gun holsters. In their place is a real-life face-off between two of Tinseltown's biggest names, Yellowstone patriarch Kevin Costner and Texas' favourite son, Matthew McConaughey.

"The Wild West has got nothing on Hollywood's rival egos," reveals one industry insider.

“Unfortunately for Kevin, the bigwigs are starting to worry that his time is up, and they need fresh blood like Matthew to carry the franchise into a new era.”
