Tears flowed in the NSW Supreme Court as Shanelle Dawson bravely shared her victim impact statement following the death of her mother at the hands of her father, Christopher Dawson.

“There are not enough words in the English language to describe the impact of 41 years of deceit, trauma, silence and gaslighting,” Shanelle, 45, said as she locked eyes with her dad across the room.
