Hodnett grabs the glory for Munster

Stormers ............................14pts

Tries: Libbok 5, Fourie 49 Conversions: Libbok 6, 50

Munster .............................19pts

Tries: Barron 9, Nash 28, Hodnett 74 Conversions: Crowley 30, 76

Graham Rowntree’s team, playing their sixth straight game on the road at the business end of the season, should have had the game wrapped up by half-time but allowed the home side back into contention in a tense second half. Finishing strongly however, man of the match John Hodnett powered over for the decisive try in the 75th minute to send the large contingent of travelling Munster fans delirious.

Munster, operating at pace and handling with confidence, produced a blistering first half to quieten the crowd but were disappointed to turn around only 12-7 to the good.
