LUCY BRONZE has drawn a line under the row over bonuses, insisting the Lionesses are fully focused on lifting the World Cup.

The England defender launched an impassioned speech defending the players' stance after a collective statement by Sarina Wiegman's squad postponed talks with the FA until their tournament has ended.

A stand-off had developed over the Lionesses' demands for additional payment from the FA above the prize money on offer from FIFA.

A truce was called this week by England's players following the release of a collective statement.

Bronze, 31, said: "We felt it was important we sent out a message. We wanted to show we're focused on the World Cup.

"As a player group, it was the first time that we've sent out the message ourselves. In that respect, we feel empowered.
