MILLIE BRIGHT will have a quiet word with Lauren James to prevent the England strike star from brooding over her World Cup heartache.

James yesterday apologised for stepping on Nigeria's Michelle Alozie which saw her sent off in Monday's last-16 victory over Nigeria and now possibly banned for the whole tournament if the Lionesses progress.

The Chelsea ace will definitely be missing when England face Colombia here in Saturday's quarter-final.

But skipper Bright will take her club-mate to one side to ensure she does not mentally suffer after a dismissal (top right) that could have cost her country dear.
