Ex-senator reacts to year-long UFO study

A NASA boss has said he believes aliens are real and we need to desensationalise the subject so we can get on with trying to find them.

It came after the publication of a report by an independent panel into unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPS) better known as UFOs.

The year-long review stresses there is "no reason to conclude" that existing sightings of UFOs are linked to aliens.

But it recommends such claims are not written off, saying the galaxy "does not stop at the outskirts of the solar system".

And it warns any mysterious flying objects are a "selfevident" threat to American airspace.
