TOM Grennan says landing the Christmas No1 would be a dream come true, as just 3000 sales separate the top three.
The singer's track It Can't Be Christmas is vying for the festive crown alongside old favourites Wham! and Mariah Carey in the closest race for many a year.
And the 29year-old said: "The reaction has been brilliant.
"I can't help getting excited now to be honest.
"It's just great being in the mix with all those other megastar names that you think of as a part of Christmas - Wham!, Mariah Carey, Band Aid.
