HERO SAM IS SECOND ON BILL FOR DAD

SAM SMITH says his dad was more thrilled to meet WREXHAM co-owner Ryan Reynolds than see his son score twice in the 3-0 defeat of CHARLTON that clinched promotion to the Championship.

Reynolds and Hollywood partner Rob McElhenney joined in the celebrations, as the Welsh club completed the journey from non-league to the second tier in three seasons.

‘And former Reading striker Smith (being carried aloft by Wrexham fans, above) has backed the Tinseltown duo to fulfil their dream of leading the Red Dragons all the way into the Premier League.

Smith said: “My dad met him (Reynolds) at the game. He watches all his films and was starstruck at meeting Ryan.

“He was more delighted to have met him than watching me score.
