• Aerial tech enhances farming efficiency, can tackle workforce woes
FARMING IN INDIA is often non-lucrative due to a number of challenges - low prices for the produce, poor infrastructure, poor adoption of mechanisation, extreme weather events etc. In the given scenario, drones offer a silver lining; these aerial vehicles have demonstrated their ability to help farmers increase yields, save time, and provide crop health imaging and water efficiency.
A case in point. Ramesh Singh, a small-scale farmer from Madhya Pradesh, faced many challenges in managing his land. Manual labour was time-consuming and inefficient, and traditional methods of crop monitoring often led to delayed interventions. The unpredictable weather patterns and pests further compounded his problems.
