Kath: We'll bring craic to Tralee...

KATHRYN Thomas has shrugged off critics, insisting her double act with Daithi O Se will “bring the craic” to the Rose of Tralee.

The RTE star will join Daithi, 47, on stage at The Dome in Tralee – becoming the first co-host and woman to do so in the pageant’s 64-year history.

Earlier this week former RTE chief Billy McGrath questioned the move while former Rose of Tralee host Ray D’Arcy said he didn’t think the format would work.

Kathryn, 44, told the Irish Sunday Mirror: “Once I knew Daithi was ready and willing, I rang him and said, ‘listen we’re going to have the absolute craic’.”

The mum-of-two from Carlow said sometimes we don’t know “we need change” until it happens.
