Jack's back in huge boost for play-offs shot

SALFORD have been handed a major fitness boost as they look to capitalise on last week’s comprehensive dismantling of Huddersfield when they travel to Super League leaders Hull KR this evening.

The return of Jack Ormondroyd to contention ahead of the closing stages of the regular season and the play-offs is a huge shot in the arm for Paul Rowley and his side.

The 32-year-old forward was in career-best form when he picked up a rib injury in May, which was expected to rule him out for the remainder of the season.

And while he might not feature against the Robins tonight, the fact he is back to compete for a spot in the side is a big boost for the Red Devils at the business end of the season.

“We’ll play Jack when we see fit,” said assistant coach Krisnan Inu. “He’s put his hand up to put himself in the mix and be up for selection.
