BETWEEN THE LINES | Indira inserted 'secular' & 'socialist' in Preamble during Emergency to 'betray' Ambedkar's vision, alleges UP CM Yogi
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the Congress during a Constitution Day ceremony at Lok Bhawan on Tuesday, accusing it of tampering with the Preamble and undermining the sanctity of the Constitution.
He alleged that the terms "secular" and "socialist" were inserted during the Emergency in 1976, actions he claimed "betrayed" the vision of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar and the framers of the Constitution.
