DEVON and Cornwall’s Police and Crime Commissioner has said she will make an announcement regarding the appointment of an interim Chief Constable to step in after she suspended her acting Chief Constable – who had taken on the role after she suspended her Chief Constable – by the end of the week.
Last month, Alison Hernandez took the step of suspending Acting Chief Constable Jim Colwell, just 14 months after suspending Chief Constable Will Kerr. In a short statement she said she had made the decision to suspend ACC Colwell in response to “potential conduct matters”.
