"COME and say hello!" That is the message from Wayne Rooney as he settles into life as the new head coach of Plymouth Argyle.
The 38-year-old was announced as the successor to Ian Foster last weekend and the media spotlight has been on Home Park ever since his return to football was confirmed.
Rooney remains a high profile figure within football, despite bringing the curtain down on his stellar career three years ago. He remains firmly in the spotlight due to his media commitments for the BBC he will be working at this summer's European Championships and due to his recent coaching roles at Derby County, DC United and most recently Birmingham City.
But Rooney is keen to embrace his role at Home Park and bring everyone together, which is why he has opened his arms to the Green Army, who he will no doubt hope will embrace him in the way they took to former managers like Ryan Lowe and Steven Schumacher.
