A WOMAN is walking a 400-mile section of the South West Coast Path as a fundraiser for a charity which works to prevent young suicides, having lost her own daughter five years ago.
Lisa Franklin, who went to Plymstock School, is halfway through a fundraising walk along the coastal path from Minehead to Plymouth.
Lisa's daughter Charlotte tragically took her own life in 2019, at the age of 19, having suffered from Body Dysmorphic Disorder that led to a diagnosis of Unstable Personality Disorder.
Lisa started her fundraising walk on May 27 -which was Charlotte's birthday and is scheduled to finish in Plymouth on July 12.
A fundraising page for the charity PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide has already reached more than £5,400 with Lisa having originally aimed to raise £1,000.
Her mother Sandra Goodman said that the walk is the result of months of planning, and that it was also Lisa's way of dealing with her own grief.
