Mall play area ‘to open this week'
The Herald|December 11, 2024
A HUGE new children's indoor play area will open in Plymouth's Drake Circus Shopping Centre this week.
-  WILLIAM TELFORD

Bristol-based company Wild Things Play Project will unveil the 5,000sq ft play space, which will contain climbing frames and serve food, on Friday, December 13.

The business has leased the top floor space occupied by the Cafe Curva restaurant until it closed in January 2022. Wild Things said its new play space will be the company's largest venue so far and aimed at children aged up to seven years old.

Wild Things already runs a successful play project at the Cribbs Causeway mall in Bristol. It "reimagines" traditional children's activity centres by using natural materials to recreate the feel of outdoor play indoors.
