PLYMOUTH Argyle are believed to be closing in on a loan deal for Leeds United’s promising young midfielder Darko Gyabi.
The 19-year-old has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at Elland Road after joining them in July 2022 from Manchester City, as part of a swap deal involving Kalvin Phillips.
Gyabi, who stands at 6ft 5in, has made only five substitute appearances in that time, with three further appearances for their Under-21 side in this season’s EFL Trophy and he is another players known to director of football Neil Dewsnip and new head coach Ian Foster due to his appearances for the England youth teams.
