A FIRM which runs five-day nurseries in Plymouth has introduced wild meat, including venison and feathered game, to its menu for children as part of a partnership with the development board for British game.
Top Day Nurseries, which runs centres in Stonehouse, Prince Rock, Keyham, Devonport and Efford, is providing wild meat meals to children three times a week on a three-week cycle.
Working in collaboration with Eat Wild, the development board for all wild meat in the UK, Tops Nurseries has developed five different wild meat meals which will be incorporated into the schools’ menu.
Across 32 sites in the UK, that means around 3,000 wild meat meals will make their way onto tots’ plates.
