ECC Northern Mindanao empowers PWRDs with livelihood starter kits

The Employees' Compensation Commission (ECC) in Northern Mindanao recently awarded Php 20,000 sari-sari store starter kits to three beneficiaries of its Katulong at Gabay sa Manggagawang may kapansanan (KaGabay) Program.
-
This program helps persons with work-related disabilities (PWRDS) start businesses and regain financial independence.
The three beneficiaries, from different provinces in Region 10, each have unique stories: Richard Harayo (Misamis Occidental), a former seaman, sustained a back fracture and degenerative disc bulge in January 2023, forcing his retirement.
