Farooq tries to cosy up to BJP, gives a jolt to I.N.D.I Alliance
The Sunday Guardian
|February 18, 2024
There is a possibility of an alliance between NC and BJP for J&K Assembly elections.
Farooq Abdullah has jolted the I.N.D.I Alliance by saying that his doors and windows are open for a future alliance at the Centre, while hinting that his National Conference may go it alone in the coming parliamentary polls in Jammu and Kashmir. Abdullah told media recently that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was working for the country and if invited by PM and Union Home Minister Amit Shah he would go and talk about the future political alliance. Congress and other allies are already trying to survive the jolts especially after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar formed the government with BJP and decided to be the part of NDA for future.
