FULL Monty actor Tom Wilkinson was last night hailed as "one of the very best" in the business after dying suddenly at home aged 75.
He won a Bafta as jobless steel mill foreman Gerald in the 1997 comedy classic and also starred in hits such as Shakespeare in Love, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, The Grand Budapest Hotel and Batman Begins in a 47-year career.
A statement from his family said: "It is with great sadness that the family of Tom Wilkinson announce that he died suddenly at home on December 30.
"His wife and family were with him."
