AIMIM plans capital foray, to enter MCD poll fray in 50 wards

After opening its account in local bodies in Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM is now planning to enter the 250-member Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

The MCD elections will be held on December 4 and results will be announced on December 7.

AIMIM is likely to go all alone in the elections and contest in 50 wards in Muslim and Dalit population concentrated wards. This is the first election after the merger of three municipal corporations of north, south and east Delhi into a unified urban local body.
