Risk of recession rising globally: IMF

Risk of recession is rising across the world, International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief Kristalina Georgieva said on Thursday and called for urgency to stabilise the economy, given the darkening global outlook.

Georgieva also said IMF will further downgrade global growth for next year against the backdrop of the rising risks. "We have downgraded our growth projections already three times, to only 3.2% for 2022 and 2.9% for 2023.
