Slippers from Kerala made of coir, eco-friendly and light neck pieces from Kolkata, lamp shades with charma kalamkari art from Karnataka and a lint-removing machine are among the attractions at the 41st India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan. The fair, which began on November 14 for business visitors, opened for the public from Saturday.
According to India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), 75,000-85,000 people visited the trade fair during business days. "Around 65,000 people visited the fair on Saturday. We are expecting that the number will rise to about 90,000 on Sunday," said Vivekanand Vivek, public relation officer, ITPO. The trade fair will conclude on November 27.
