LIAM Manning called on his Bristol City players to match their cup heroics in the Championship after taking Premier League Nottingham Forest to a replay.

The sides fought out a goalless draw on Friday night with Forest glad to have avoided the fate of West Ham United, who suffered a third round exit at Ashton Gate.

The replay adds to a tough schedule of games for the Robins, with Tuesday’s trip to Coventry marking the start of seven games in 26 days.

Head coach Manning said: “We’ve spoken about not having any training and we literally have none now.

“It’s rest, recover and get yourselves ready to go again. We need the squad and everyone ready to go.”

Having overseen City’s defeat of the Hammers, Manning said of another Ashton Gate sellout: “We want this atmosphere regularly and it’s up to us to generate that.
