The 20-year old back rower started two Premiership Cup matches last season and came off the bench against Bordeaux-Begles champions the in Cup and Newcastle in the Premiership.
He is not quite filling the boots of his father, a second row who finished his career at Bristol after stints with Bath, Gloucester and Montfer rand, because Ed Pearce was a size 16.
"I am only a 13-and-ahalf," said Paddy Pearce, who was barely walking when his father played for Bristol who were then based at the Memorial Ground.
