Scarratt leads the way for Lightning

They closed off a dominant win with strong defence in the second half as Lightning’s England stars guided them home led by player of the match Emily Scarratt.

Loughborough fullback Helen Nelson said: “We put in a good performance. I’m very proud of the girls for executing the plan. The pressure was on us at home to go out do a job and we did.”

It was a slow start at Franklin’s Gardens, with Tigers striking first with a Tess Feury penalty.
